Avant – the test winner in Norway!
(29.5.2009)
Avant competed against its’ competitors in a loader test in Norway. Test driver Christopher Yngvesson tested for Bedre Gardsdrift magazine (3/2009, www.gardsdrift.no) all together five artuculated loaders. The tested loaders were: Avant 528 (28 hp), Schäffer 2033 (33 hp), CSF Multione SL 35 DT (31 hp), Gehl AL 240 (35 hp) and Agromatic AM 760 D (26 hp).
All the tested loaders were compared from the practical point of view on a farm environment. Working with the loaders was measured and ranked based on the measurements and comparisons made during the test. These measured and ranked features were e.g. driving with the loader, lifting and pulling forces, agility, stability with loader in a fully articulated position, visibility from the driver’s seat, work lights on the loader, ergonomics (positioning and functions of controlls, accessories). The fuel consumption was measured as well as the noise levels on the driver seat and on 5 m to the rear of the machine. Also the access to the engine’s check and service points were ranked. Price of the machines was one of the ranked features.
All the measured and ranked features were grouped into seven categories. For each of the categories points were given from one to five (1 – 5).
The tested loaders were given the following points:
